Children’s hospitals hold a unique place in our communities. While their focus is on caring for children, they also support and serve multiple generations every day—parents, grandparents, caregivers, and entire families—often during the most critical moments of their lives.
That’s why CGK President Jason Dorsey was honored to speak at the Children’s Nebraska Leadership Forum and the organization’s Board of Directors Meeting, sharing insights on generational trends shaping healthcare today.
A Mission That Shows Up Everywhere
Children’s Nebraska is the only full-service pediatric health system in the state, and its mission is evident across every part of the organization—from its teams and leadership to its innovation and commitment to improving children’s lives across the region.
One of the highlights of Jason’s visit was a tour of the hospital, including their acclaimed NICU and Innovation Center. Seeing the care spaces, intentional design, and dedicated teams in action brought the organization’s mission to life in a deeply personal way.
What Stood Out Most
Throughout the visit, several things stood out clearly:
-
The passion and purpose shared by leaders at every level
-
Powerful stories of impact, from clinical breakthroughs to family experiences
-
The energy and openness as teams leaned into learning, collaboration, and what’s next in children’s healthcare
-
Thoughtful conversations following the keynote about generational trends shaping families, care teams, and the future of healthcare
During his sessions, Jason shared CGK’s latest insights on how different generations—patients, parents, and healthcare professionals—experience care today. He also explored unexpected discoveries around communication and trust, and how healthcare leaders can better support every generation they serve.
Gratitude for a Meaningful Experience
We’re grateful to the entire Children’s Nebraska team for the warm welcome, the inspiring hospital tour, and the meaningful work they do every day. Their mission is truly life-changing, and it was an honor to experience their culture, passion, and commitment up close.
At CGK, we’re proud to support healthcare leaders who are navigating generational complexity with empathy, insight, and purpose—and who are making a lasting difference for families and communities.
