The team at CGK was proud to partner with Camden Property Trust, an industry leader in multifamily housing, to lead a groundbreaking nationwide study on trends in the multifamily housing workforce. Because when you add new, statistically accurate data to the conversation, you help the industry move from guessing to designing strategies grounded in research-backed insights—and the visionary leaders at Camden recognized the value of doing exactly that.
The study uncovered powerful data on career perceptions, growth opportunities, and what today’s workforce values most—insights that can help shape strategies across recruiting, retention, and leadership development.
Sharing the Findings with Camden Leaders
Once the research study was complete, CGK President Jason Dorsey traveled to Houston to share the findings at Camden’s annual leadership meeting, where team members from across the country gathered to hear the results firsthand. The response was overwhelmingly positive. Leaders were engaged, asked thoughtful questions, and immediately started connecting the data to their teams and goals.
For our team at CGK, this project was especially meaningful. Many of us have lived (or currently live) in apartments, and we’ve experienced firsthand the role multifamily housing plays in shaping lives and communities. Being part of a study that highlights the career paths and opportunities within the industry made the work feel even more important and personally impactful to each of us.
Turning Insight Into Action
By initiating this important research and making a plan to share it directly with their leadership teams in person at their annual event, Camden helped to ensure the insights quickly reached the people who can put them to use every day. It’s a great example of how original data can drive real-time impact when it’s rooted in purpose and shared with intention.
We’re grateful to Camden for the opportunity to support their mission and excited to see how this research helps strengthen not only their workforce—but the broader conversation around careers in multifamily housing.
